Camp Vigilance (1) (1852-1853) - A temporary U.S. Army Camp established in 1852 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico. Abandoned in 1853.

History of Camp Vigilance

Camp Vigilance was established just east of the Albuquerque Plaza as a temporary Federal encampment from 1852 to 1853. The camp was established by Major George A.M. Blake, 1st U.S. Dragoons, and companies F, G, and I, 1st U.S. Dragoons, and companies B and C, 3rd U.S. Infantry (430 men).

Abandoned in 1853.
