Fort Russell (1) (1877-1879) - First established as a temporary stockage in 1877. Named after John Russell. Abandoned as a fort in 1879.

Fort Russell (1) History

One of the temporary stockades erected during the 1877 Nez Perce Indian War and used during the Bannock Indian War and the Sheepeater Indian War, 1878-1879.
