Fort Lytle (1863-1864) - A U.S. Civil War Union fort built in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Abandoned in 1864. Also known as Star Fort.

Fort Lytle History

An earthworks fort built as a five point star at College Street between present day 13th and 14th street. The walls were 20 foot high surrounded by 10 to 15 foot dry ditches.
