Camp Joseph T. Robinson

Camp Joseph T. Robinson (1917-Present) - A U.S. Army post established as Camp Pike in 1917 in Pulaski County, Arkansas. Initially named for General Zebulon Montgomery Pike, famed U.S. Army officer and explorer, who was killed in action 27 Apr 1813, during the War of 1812. Renamed for U.S. Senator Joseph Taylor Robinson of Arkansas in 1937. Active Arkansas National Guard post. Also known as Camp Robinson (3).

Camp Joseph T. Robinson History

The 6,000 acre post was established 8 Jul 1917 to train soldiers for World War I and as a replacement for Fort Roots.
