Fort Stansbury
Fort Stansbury (1839-1843) - A U.S. Army post established in 1839 during the Second Seminole War in Wakulla County, Florida. Named for Brigadier General Tobias E. Stansbury who was involved in the Battle of Bladensburg and in the defense of Baltimore during the War of 1812. Abandoned in 1843.
The post was established on 15 Mar 1839 and abandoned on 5 Apr 1843.
