Kootenai Post (3) (1821-1824) - A Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) trading post first established in 1821 along the Kootenai River near present day Rainy Creek, Lincoln County, Montana. Abandoned in 1824.

Note: Some sources identify this as a North West Company (NWC) trading post but the NWC merged with the HBC in July 1821 and that ownership would have been short lived.
