Frederick Point Battery (1939-1945) - Frederick Point Battery was a Canadian 12 pounder coastal gun battery on Digby Island, British Columbia, Canada. Deactivated in 1945. World War II (1939-1945)Part of the Harbor Defense of Prince Rupert. A 12 pounder coastal gun battery temporarily emplaced in September 1939 and placed in permanent emplacements in 1940. The battery had two 12 pounder Mk 1 guns on Mk 1 mounts and two searchlight positions. The battery was deactivated on 15 Aug 1945. Current StatusNo period guns or mounts in place.
