Fort Pike (4) (1855-1856) - A Yakima War Fort established in 1855 near present-day Enumclaw, King County, Washington. Abandoned as a fortification in 1856 as the war came to an end. May also be known as Fort Posey. History Established in 1855 during the Yakima War at the White River Crossing by Washington Territorial Volunteers. Fort Pike was a blockhouse placed there to protect the Crossing. This fort may also be known as Fort Posey or Fort Posey may have been located close to it.
