HistoryEstablished in 1855 during the Yakima War at the White River Crossing by Washington Territorial Volunteers. Fort Pike was a blockhouse placed there to protect the Crossing. This fort may also be known as Fort Posey or Fort Posey may have been located close to it. Abandoned as a fortification in 1856 as the war came to an end. Current StatusUnknown
