Battery 235 (1942-1946) - Battery 235 was a reinforced concrete, World War II 6 inch coastal gun battery on Fort San Jacinto, Galveston County, Texas. Battery construction started 13 Feb 1942, was completed 4 Nov 1944 and transferred to the Coast Artillery for use 28 Nov 1944 at a cost of $ 310,091.31. Deactivated in 1946.
