Battery 118 (1943-1948) - Battery 118 was a reinforced concrete, World War II 16 inch coastal gun battery on Fort Miles, Delaware. Battery construction started on 24 March 1941, was completed on 31 Oct 1942 and transferred to the Coastal Artillery for use on 21 Dec 1943 at a cost of $ 1,326,000.00. Deactivated in 1948.

Originally built as an World War II concrete coastal gun battery with two 16" MKII-M1 guns mounted on M4 Barbette carriages.
