Fort Armstrong (2) (1899-1949) - An Endicott Period Coastal Fort first established in 1899 in Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii. Named Fort Armstrong in G.O. 160, 1909, after Brigadier General Samuel C. Armstrong, who served during the U.S. Civil War and fought at Gettysburg gaining the rank of Major General at age 26. Abandoned in 1949.
Endicott Period (1890-1910)
Part of the Harbor Defense of Honolulu.
