Fort Washington (6) (1775-1776) - Established in 1775 by Patriot forces in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

Revolutionary War (1775-1783)

Established as a three gun battery during the Patriot siege of British held Boston during the Revolutionary War. Part of a 10 mile chain of defenses erected between Charlestown and Cambridge.

Current Status

Part of Fort Washington City Park restored in 1857. Has three non-period cannon from Fort Winthrop.
