Fort Wyoming (1771-1784) - A colonial fort established in 1771 during the Pennamite War by Captain Amos Ogden and Pennsylvania settlers in present day Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Captured and destroyed by Connecticut Yankee settlers. Rebuilt in 1778 as a Revolutionary War defense. Renamed Fort Dickinson in 1783. Abandoned and dismantled in 1784.
