Battery 214 (1944-1947) - Battery 214b was a reinforced concrete, World War II 6 inch coastal gun battery on Fort H.G. Wright at Wilderness Point, Fishers Island, Suffolk County, New York. Battery construction started on 2 Apr 1943, was completed on 23 May 1944 and transferred to the Coast Artillery for use 7 Aug 1944 at a cost of $ 7 Aug 1944. Deactivated in 1947.
