Fossil FAA Radar Site (1980-Active) - A FAA Radar Site first established in 1980 near Fossil, Wheeler County, Oregon. Assigned a FAA ID of QVN. Active FAA Radar Site. HistoryThis site was commissioned on 1 Apr 1980 as an FAA radar site furnishing radar track data to the FAA Seattle ARTCC and to USAF Command Centers as a part of the JSS System. The initial ARSR-3 radar equipment was replaced with a Common Air-Route Surveillance Radar (CARSR) radar as of 27 Aug 2012.
