The [[CDSG Conference 13-17 Apr 2010]] at [[Fort Worden]] in Washington State was a great success with some 60 attendees covering most of the Puget Sound Defense sites. I'm updating the pages for each site over the next month or so (lots of pictures to upload) and I have established a separate page [[2010 CDSG Updates]] to list the pages updated with info and pictures from the conference. I did an after-the-conference trip to [[Fort Ward (2)]] and [[Middle Point Military Reservation]] and those updates will also be posted on the [[2010 CDSG Updates]] page. See also my

FortWiki.com is dedicated to documenting the historical forts, camps and stations that provided security and protection for the United States and Canada.
The goal is to combine the known public information about the forts, stations and batteries with detailed information from individual family histories and genealogies that may not be public. These histories and genealogies are rich with details about ancestors who lived, worked and fought at these forts and stations.

Please browse around, as you do, you are likely to think of many other people, forts, stations and other items that should be part of the site. Feel free to start an article on any subject that you see is missing. Don't worry if you don't have all of the information, just start it and others will finish it. By the same token, feel free to add or edit other articles if you see a way to improve them, even it's as simple as correcting a spelling error.
FortWiki will always be a work in progress. Improving the site will ensure the ongoing value of this resource to all members. Thanks for your help.
